Spiritual Care As A Loving Service

The Chaplain at Tamahere Eventide provides Christian ministry, spiritual and emotional support and pastoral care toresidents, their relatives and staff.  

We provide ministry to all people and conductthis ministry with sensitivity and regard to the cultural and religiousbackground of those to whom we give this ecumenical ministry. 

An ecumenical church service is held everySunday at 4pm in our Chapel by various ministers and lay ministers. Music isprovided by Piano, Organ or if the minister prefers CDs. Catholic services areprovided three times a month, once on a Friday morning and twice on Saturdaymornings at 10.30am. All services are well attended. We have services on EasterSunday, Christmas Day, ANZAC Day, and a Memorial Service once a year. 

Holy Communion is provided once a monthduring Thursday morning Chapel service at 11am. A Catholic Mass is provided onthe first Friday of each month by Father Alexander. Home Communion is providedon a daily basis to anybody who wishes to receive, in their rooms or in the Chapel. 

Bible study is held every Thursday at 11am inthe Susanna Wesley Sanctuary, with a different bible passage discussed every time.This is well attended with a lot of different insights and outcomes. 

Funerals are integral part of TamahereEventide and the Chapel is always available for services. The Chaplain isavailable to officiate for families but a Minister from your Church is welcometo take the service.
